Eric Stahlberg has built his career around providing vision and enabling new concepts and capabilities through the combination of robust software engineering practices and scientific application.
At the forefront of new computing technologies, he has helped to pioneer distributed virtual memory for early massively parallel systems, OpenMP on Intel architectures, and heterogeneous computing through efforts in OpenFPGA. He has developed new programming models supporting a variety of computer architectures for both commerical and non-commercial applications. His application experience extends across many disciplines including health information, medical visualization, computational chemistry, bioinformatics, mathematical modeling, numerical methods, algorithms, databases, and optimization. He led the effort to establish Platform Lab, a shared software testing facility in Columbus, Ohio, and currently leads a team of bioinformatics analysts working to support big data and next generation sequencing analysis at the National Cancer Institute.
Daryl Co-Founded EDDR-Informatics and brings over twenty five years of experience in both hardware / software engineering and embedded systems development.
Daryl has held senior level positions as Embedded Systems Engineer, Senior Electronics Design Engineer, Software Engineer, and Project Engineer in various companies in a broad range of application areas such as automotive electronics, ultrasound systems for non-destructive testing, and X-ray elemental analysis systems.
Daryl is also an adjunct professor at the ITT Technical Institute in the School of Electronics Technology where he teaches courses in embedded systems, electronics, computer programming and computer security.
